Protecting Your Intellectual Property

There has been a lot of talk lately about security around Pixolio.  I’m not talking about securing your personal information*, but instead, protecting your work hosted at Pixolio.  While nothing on the internet is truly protected, we working to minimize the risk.  In the upcoming months, we will be pushing changes to the application code that allows you to protect your images from easily being downloaded and linked to from other sites.  We will be using a combination of techniques which will essentially only allow images to be called from the Pixolio application code, otherwise known as your website. And as with everything on Pixolio, it is as easy as checking a box to enable the extra security options, no additional sets are required once the code automatically updated.

Stay tuned for more information this summer.

* Since day one Pixolio.me has always protected your credit card information, conforming to industry standards and practices.  We take security seriously, both personal information and intellectual property.

Re: Pixolio.me Logo

Round two of the logo design just came in and once again, it is hard to choose.  I’m stuck deciding between two color palettes for the one logo design.  Hopefully a decision will be made next week after letting it sink in over the weekend.  Stay tuned for more developments and a preview of the logo.

Pixolio.me April Fools

Today Pixolio.me is an official business!

April Fools??? Yes and no. Originally today was to mark the official start date of Pixolio.me!  As what I could only think of as a “Preemptive April Fools joke,” the Davidson County (Nashville, TN) Clerk decided to back-date my business license.  When I got my business license in the mail, according to it, I had already been in business for a month.

Regardless, I’m considering today the official start of Pixolio.me and public signups will be coming soon.  If you would like an invite to sign up, contact me at james[at]pixolio.me, and I promise not to play any April Fools jokes on you.

Re: Pixolio.me Logo

The design for the new logo has been narrowed down from 20 designs to 1.  We are tweaking the final design and hopefully will be able to showcase it within a week or so.  Stay-tuned!
